Fri December 18, 2026 6:30pm - 8:30pm @SMILE Station 8210 S.E. 13th Avenue, Portland OR 97202

Glass is everywhere but how much do we really know about it? Is it a solid or a liquid?  Why does it shatter so easily, yet can also be used to make some of the strongest materials we have? Join us for an evening exploring the surprisingly strange science of glass and light. Along the way, we'll shatter a few myths about glass and discover why this everyday material is anything but ordinary.

Grab a friend, pour a glass of wine, and spend an evening learning something fascinating while creating a beautiful piece of chemically etched glass to take home.
